A bit of our history

Our business, established in 1976 has been trading from our showroom and workshops in the Sussex village of Rotherfield since 1982, originally supplying engineering tools and small machines together with live steam models. 

By 1994 we had introduced our own range of battery electric powered diesel outline model locomotives, from a small 0-4-0 shunter our range grew to include 14 models in 5" and 7¼" gauge. Our locomotives have the equivalent power to there steam counterparts and are ideal passenger haulers, we have supplied many to clubs and garden centre railways for semi commercial use, most weekends in the season we can still be found running our own locos and rolling stock at a miniature railway in East Sussex.

In July 2019 after a 6 week refurbishment, and by popular request we reopened our shop as a new model railway shop for East Sussex & Kent, thus filling the gap in the area for local railway modellers.

October 2021 we attended our first exhibition as a supplier of model railways to great success and December 2021 marked the end of an era when the decision was made to cease production of our 5" and 7¼" gauge models to concentrate on model railways. Our model railway shop continues to grow with items added weekly.
